MANILA Judge Jorge Lorredo thinks it would be best if former presidential chief of staff Michael "Mike" Defensor dropped the perjury case he has filed against whistleblower Rodolfo "Jun" Lozada Jr.

The one politician who has consistently yet positively defied the "old boys club" mentality in performing his professional or political tasks and responsibilities is Sen. Panfilo "Ping" Lacson. Unfortunately, however, many among his peers now or professional colleagues in the past have failed to appreciate the impact of his behavior toward good governance.

MANUEL VILLAR JR. joins the mixed ranks of senatorial predecessors Ramon Diokno, Jose Avelino, and Sergio Osmena Jr. who had to face colleagues to answer charges that they had violated laws and government ethics to an extent that warranted suspension or expulsion from Congress.
