The Truth Behind the Lies

Lacson, both as law enforcer and as lawmaker. Despite his accomplishments, there have been those who have come out to peddle lies about him. Not surprisingly, many of them are those whose toes he stepped on when he was doing his job. Following is a list of vicious lies raised against Lacson, in the guise of "issues" whose peddlers repeat over and over, in hopes of realizing yet another cliche: A lie repeated a thousand times becomes truth.

In February 1993, the dreaded Red Scorpion Group was neutralized by PACC TASK FORCE HABAGAT and other PNP/AFP units. During the actual neutralization, some of the officers of the PNP Intelligence Group who were reported to be the handlers of Alfredo Joey de Leon particularly then Sr. Supt. RODULFO GARCIA and Chief Inspector RODULFO B. MENDOZA were left out in the actual operation.
